My Essential Oils Collection

Hi there!

I kinda have a new obsession with essential oils and would like to start growing my collection. I now have 12 of them (two of them are the same scent), and I’m so ready to have some more!

The more I learn about essential oils, the more interested I become with them. When I bought my first essential oil, I used it topically because, at the time, I thought that was the only way to use them. I’d dab a little bit on my wrist so I can have the scent on me, and it helped ease my anxiety for a bit.

I got that essential oil at Yankee Candle about a year ago. I didn’t realize this until recently, but it’s a blend of lavender, rosemary, and sage. It’s called Relax, and I love the scent of it. I’m not sure if I’d buy another already blended essential oil, because I enjoy manually blending them in my diffuser. I bought my first diffuser back in December, and that’s now my favorite way to use my oils. I’ve been diffusing regularly for a few months, and I love it so much! It all started when I wanted to try aromatherapy on Fridays when I work from home, and now it’s become a regular thing. My little diffuser lights up, changes colors, makes the room smell great, and makes my workday a little more bearable. Plus, it’s so exciting figuring out which oil or blend I’ll use for the day. I learned that you could use essential oils for more than just aromatherapy when my boyfriend bought me a pack of 9 essential oils for my birthday back in August. It came with a little booklet of recipes and blends that I still have yet to try. You can use oils for hair growth, laundry, cleaning, and even weight loss! About a month ago, I started adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to the rice water I make for my hair. I spray the mixture in my hair before I deep condition, and dude, it makes my hair so freakin’ soft! I highly recommend trying it for yourself. Scent-wise, my top favorite oils are peppermint, sweet orange, and lemongrass. Peppermint reminds me of candy canes, and I also enjoy the sweet smell of orange and lemongrass. I definitely use those the most when I’m diffusing on Fridays because just the smell of those oils makes me so happy. It also helps relieve my stress and anxiety. I’ve also found a lot of cool blends on Pinterest, and so far, my favorite is a scent called Ocean Air. It’s a mixture of lavender, peppermint, and rosemary, and yes, it does remind me of the ocean!

I’m so ready to start learning more about essential oils, blends, recipes, and all the good stuff! I also want to add cinnamon and jasmine to my collection soon. What other oils do you think I should try? Do you recommend any certain brands? I wanna know!

Thank you so much for reading!
